Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of the Class of 2038,
Welcome to the Dartmouth Public Schools! It is an exciting time for you and your family as your child gets ready for kindergarten. While there is much information to absorb and forms to complete, our goal is to make it as easy and seamless as possible.
The process to enroll your kindergarten student in the Dartmouth Public schools is online. Our Online Portal can be found at Dartmouth Public Schools Registration Page and is currently open for Kindergarten registration.
In order to register your student must:
● Be five years old prior to September 1st
● Reside in the Town of Dartmouth
It's important to register your soon-to-be Kindergarten student as soon as possible. We aim to have all registrations completed by mid-April so we can plan for the 2025-2026 school year and have registered Kindergarteners attend Orientation. If you have friends, relatives or neighbors who live in Dartmouth, and will be registering a Kindergarten age child, please pass on this information.
Registration is also available by appointment at Central Office, 8 Bush Street, Dartmouth, MA.
You will be contacted about scheduling a Kindergarten screening at a later date.
If you have any questions please contact Jennifer Machado, Registrar at 508-997-3391, Ext. 1108 or jennifermachado@dartmouthschools.org
Sincerely,

August 2024
Dear Families and Students,
As we embark on a new academic year, I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to each of you. The 2024-2025 school year, which begins on Wednesday, August 28th, promises to be filled with opportunities for growth, learning, and success. Our dedicated faculty and staff have been working diligently to prepare for your return, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive.
We look forward to sharing the work the Dartmouth Community has engaged in to develop a five-year district strategic plan that will serve as the guide for our future work. This plan focuses on four major areas, which are summarized below.
- Teaching and Learning: Our top priority is ensuring every student receives a high-quality education. We are committed to enhancing instructional practices, integrating innovative teaching methods, and providing our educators with the necessary resources and professional development opportunities. We aim to foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and prepares students for future success.
- Safe and Supportive Schools: The safety and well-being of our students are paramount. We are dedicated to creating safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environments. This includes implementing comprehensive safety measures, expanding mental health resources, and promoting a culture of respect and empathy. We want every student to feel valued, supported, and secure in their school.
- Family and Community Engagement: We believe that strong partnerships with families and the broader community are essential to student success. Our strategic plan emphasizes the importance of open communication, collaboration, and active participation. We aim to create more opportunities for family involvement and community engagement, fostering a sense of belonging and shared responsibility for our students' education.
- Budget and Capital Improvement: Responsible financial planning and investment in our school facilities are critical to maintaining a high-quality educational environment. Our strategic plan includes initiatives for budget optimization, transparent financial practices, and capital improvement projects. These efforts aim to ensure that our schools are well-equipped, modern, and conducive to learning.
We are excited to welcome students and families back to our school community. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and respect that truly embraces the spirit of "One Dartmouth."
Thank you for your continued support and commitment. We look forward to a successful and inspiring school year ahead.
Warm regards,
Dr. June Saba-Maguire Ed. D.
